After completing the merger with Samsung hard disk business, Seagate consolidated its distribution strategy in the region and appointed the erstwhile distributor of Samsung storage solutions, ECS Distribution as the authorised distributor for Seagate in Egypt. ECS will distribute both Seagate internal and external hard drives for the retail market, on a non-exclusive basis. “This is an exciting time in the storage industry with rapidly evolving opportunities in many markets including mobile computing, cloud computing and solid state storage.
